Reverend Dr. James Grant is a native of Mocksville, NC. He has 3 children, Chris, LaToyia, and Andrea. After receiving his calling from God to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he was licensed at New Shepherd Baptist Church in October 1995. In March of 1996, he was ordained under the Risen Star Baptist Association. He attended Vintage Bible College in Winston Salem, where he has obtained a Associate Degree in Biblical Studies, a Bachelors, and Master’s Degree, in Theology. He continued moving forward with his education, and in March 2008, he received his Doctorate of Arts Degree in Theology and Biblical Counseling from Liberty University. In 2009 he received a Pastoral Counseling Degree from Phoenix University, and he is a Certified Licensed Counselor. He knows that God has brought him from a mighty long way but, without his most prestigious degree, his B.A. degree (BORN AGAIN) degree, all of these other achievements would mean NOTHING.

Dr. Grant is a member of the Ministers Conference of Winston-Salem, and Vicinity, from 2010 – 2012. He has served 2 years on the Executive Board of Directors at the Davie Family YMCA where he is currently the Facilitator of the Annual National Day of Prayer Breakfast. He is a child of the King and loves building his Father’s Kingdom. He has been the Extremely Blessed to be the Senior Pastor at New Patterson Grove Faith Church in East Bend N.C for 19 years where God is continuing to do an AWESOME work. His focus is to encourage others to never give up on what God is able to do in our lives. His mission statement for our church is; “To be a Body of Believers in Jesus Christ who continues to reach up to God, while reaching out to Mankind. His passion is to teach others the importance of self-worth, and to create a mindset in others that, ”everybody is somebody and, Christ is all.” He enjoys equipping, and encouraging God’s people to be a church sent forth by God to make a difference in a dying world. His prayer is that we never give up on those who have not come into the knowledge of the truth because, Jesus died for EVERYONE (John 3:16). His desire is that you never give up on your ability to become the best you can be, and to remember, you are a work in process. He encourages everyone to not let anyone hold you down when God is lifting you up because we can do ALL things through Christ Jesus, which strengthens us.
